Went by a old junkyard with my son when we took the PW out for a spin. It was just a hunch and I dont know why I went there, but we did. I pulled in and heard the car crusher running out in the middle somewhere. Asked the yardman if I could have a walk around. I made my way on back to where the car crusher was going, and my jaw hit the dirt (damn, I should have had my poker face on!)! Next in line to be crunched was a WC-53! I told the forklift driver to hold it, I was interested in the truck (which he called a "old chevy ambulance") I went back and asked the yardman what the deal was. Make a long story short, I bought it. It has no motor, no lower tailgate, incorrect pass door, incorrect wheels 1/2, no hood, no running boards, or battery box. All I want off it are the headlights for my Command Car. The body is good from the centerline up, has rot from the centerline down. All fenders are there, seat is there, windshield there, window regulators are there... Probably more stuff but I did'nt look too long as I was pressed for time. I am picking it up on Thursday. If anyone wants it for what I paid for it, let me know. I got a junk vehicle certificate with it which is as good as a title. I am in Washington State.
