Persons wishing to remain anonymous have revealed that they have unearthed an old 8mm movie of this truck, taken in its early days. It is the actual truck where Dave Butler lost his virginity, high in the mountains of Colorado.
The film was made before content ratings, but suffice it to say, it is by all reports, quite steamy. Prior to the great event, Dave is shown in this unusual film as he airs the tires down,.
The film was made before 8mm with sound. Several times he comes over to the camera, looking into the lens, and mouths words in a slow and deliberate fashion. It is as if he hopes the viewer can understand what he is saying.
He seems to suggest that airing the tires down will help him remain more stable in the slick places. And, although it is not entirely clear, it seems at one point he says, "I get my money for nothin' and my chicks for free." I suppose some knowledge of the time would make sense of that. It may reveal the very beginning of his business acumen.
Remarkably, there is still an 8-track tape player in it, still with the very same Jimi Hendryx tape in it that was playing when the great experience occurred....
I suspect these items would fetch a good price on E-bay.
