review of the book "Tank, the Progress of a Monstrous War Machine"
The writer (of the review, not the book) mentions a Frenchman he knows who has spent his spare time, since boyhood, digging in WWI not II, but I, battlefields, and who eventually found an intact British tank, buried for 80 some years, and restored it, presenting it to a nearby village as a memorial of the worlds first major tank battle.
So, when your restoration's got you down, just thank the Lord you didn't have to spend your time EXCAVATING your truck....
