Tom Now is the time to do all your cleanup work such as sanding and straightening before welding the angles. I ordered new angles, bed strips and wood from Mar-K and they included an extra angle for shipping purposes. I used that piece to replace my front angle. It's best hem the edge first before welding in a new angle, makes a better job and looks cleaner. Be sure to mark and take measurements before removing the old angles, also do one at a time for reference. As for a finish I used Min Wax Clear Shield, appling three coats to all sides. You can stain first but if you use this clear you shouldn't have to worry about recoating except for deep scratches. Don't apply heat to your sides except where absolutly needed and then only in a small area, or you will have really twisted sides. Without seeing how bad they are bowed I can't give any advise on them. Good luck and there are ONLY 90 spot welds to drill out on those bed angles.
