I was just at the excellent local battery store, Pacific Power Batteries, and noticed they had a smallish 24V battery on the "seconds" table. It looked like the kind used in the smaller military gensets. I don't know what group number it would be. This outfit sells all kinds of batteries, auto, marine, deep-discharge, telecom, solar, etc, and has some military contracts too. They could at least answer your question about whether it exists or not. The number is (425)259-9260. Best ask for Steve, the owner. The floor help comes and goes and aren't always the most knowledgeable, but Steve has all always been very helpful to me
