First let me say that I have totally enjoyed making this post and seeing your replies. After realizing that more than a few PW owner were also Harley owners, The idea came to me to make a point that of course you know I promote, brand loyalty.
I don't know of any self-respecting (or Harley respecting)person could do anything like put a rice burning engine in as a swap.
So, likewise, I can't imasgine any self-respecting (or PW respecting) person putting a chevy or other brand-X engine in a PW.
Since a harley is titled by the frame and not the engine,is it still a harley if one did swap in a japanese V-twin engine?
Likewise, is a truck still a Dodge Powered Wagon if powered by a chevy or other Brand-X engine? If a chevy person falls in love with the PW body as most have to start with, why turn it into a half-breed mongrel truck?
Find a older chevy truck, put some military flat fenders on it and wa-la, you have a chey
plow-boy wagon.
For all you Harley lovers who always wanted a knucklehead or panhead check out this site,
www.accurate-engineering.com. Ask for a free catalog and check out these New engines.
Anybody got a wishbone rigid frame for sale?
Sorry to have gotten so many riled.
