question about 1st series beds-need front section

i know the tops are at an angle and the 4 pockets but is there a difference in the inside of the beds . do i need special side peices for my 48 or are they the same as a 56- 57 wm300 .mine are rotted a little and would like to get new ones .also need a good front peice for a bed mine is rough. used to haul wood in the 50;s 60;s to the collage so im told . im not sure if dave mahar is up and running yet.
