I bought a half rebuilt engine with all the machine work done and the short block was assembled. The guy had left this half done rebuild in his garage for ten years. I bought it for $100.00 I sold everything except for the heads and lifters, oil pump and the head gasket set. The heads had been worked over with new valves and springs and seals. Anyways this guy says he needs them and will give me $250.00 for the rest of this engine and he had guessed it to be a 1974 LA318. Now they're saying that they found roller lifters in their engine and don't even know if these heads will fit or not.. So I need to know if they will or not..
The guy took these heads to the machine shop and had them milled or planed down, he said. Then vatted and painted.. How do you all think that I should handle their actions?? I didn't think that I should have to buy back anything that was machined or worked on..
