Well after traveling 7,000 miles, and moving 6 PWs around the country I am back in WI.
I wanted to go to Hollister, as I was in Grand Junction CO on Wednesday, and CA was not that far away, but I had to get back home.
I hope those of you that make it have a great time, and I will try and make it next year!
Highlights from my trip:
Moved 3 PG W300s on my trailer(not all at the same time).
Made it out of TX without catching the 6X6 sickness(I even touched one at AAA's)!
Drove a 59 W500.
Saw Paul B of TX's yellow 63 PW TW, Big Block V8, Vintage Air, leather interior, etc.
Saw AAA's Perkins W300.
Got an introduction to Austin's Tex-Mex food.
Met some great people, and saw lots of nice PWs.
I have a few PG PWs to add to my website, and I will be doing that in the next couple days.
By the way, my site is back up, in a way, the server is fixed, but the URL is not back yet, for now look here:
http://townwagon.vexed.org/~powerwagon/pgpws/index.htm
I hope to have the original URL back soon.
My next trip is planned for late May, maybe MT, WY, and ID?
By the way, I left Gand Junction CO 9:00 am central time on wednesday, headed for WI on I 70, then I-76 to I-80 and home.
Anybody see me with my special open cab 59 W300 on my trailer? Red cab, black 9' bed.
I was in a hurry and unable to stop, so I passed by everyone I wanted to see on I-80(Mike I passed you at about 3:00 am).
Maybe next time.
Eric
