My Dad spent the majority of his 20 year Navy carrer in the Pacific, before, during, and after WW2. His final duty station in the early 50's was Germany. He then spend 20 more years doing simailar work for the govt. He died six years ago of service connected issues, I still wish I could talk to him one more time. The hardest part was the rifle salute and the playing of taps.
I have his flag along with that of my Grandfather, mine will be added to it some day and they will be passed along to my son until his is added.
