If it's like my WDX, you might take a look at the accelerator pump on the carb. The lower end of it has the 3 holes where you adjust for the seasons. Just reach under there while the engine is idling and pull it down. If it is working correctly, it will dump gas and the engine will race. If it is shot, nothing will happen and all you have is the main feeding gas and it will be under powered.
