Jonas, If you register the truck as what it is, ie, a semi tractor, then as a minimum you will need the General Knowledge and the Air Brake endorsements. As a member of the Army National Guard I've got the Army CDL. Same instruction book, same test. Only mine is only good with military trucks. If as some are suggesting you can register the truck as a RV, then great, you will not need the CDL. Just remember that what is good in one state may not fly in the next state over. You may save yourself alot of hassles in the long run by getting yourself a CDL. Should you decide to get a CDL with the two endorsements that I mentioned, be prepared to explain to the road test examiner how to inspect and adjust the air brakes on a truck.
