Just to clarify Isolator systems are used in the electrical world also. They, meaning Filter Isolators, usually refered to as Isolators are used to provide an isolating function where several different elements within an electrical system try to interact(in an un-wanted manner). The Isolaters restrict this from happening,and keep the signals and or the A/C power line from "interfering" with the devices in the system.
