Has anyone ever tried to put 5 speedin truck to get milage, what transmission did you use, what did it come out of, is there a way to just put 5 gear as overdrive in some common transmission? Anybody ever place aux tranmission in w200 or w300 or wc ? Thinking about a small brown-lipe 3 spd under,direct,overdriven.85 Bad idea? Better to adapt 5 speed to transfercase with overdriven 5th. Will 9x20 fit in w200or w300? I dont want to butcher truck but would lift it some. Thanks.
