The M715 does not share the same brake mechanism or brake drum with the W300. It is a smaller diameter with a wider shoe. The entire brake assembly can be interchanged (backing plate with shoes and hardware & hub/drum assembly), but not just the drum (assuming you have a six-hole wheel truck...)

As for your brake squeak, apply just a bit of brake lubricant between the shoe core edge and the contact pads on the backing plate.

You don't say.... are these shoes that have been in service for a while? I ask that because of this: if a new shoe has been re-arced to an incorrect radius, a radius larger than that of the drum's radius, you can get a bad screech out of the brake, too. I suspect this does not apply to you, as virtually nobody does today, due to asbestos hazards,

Make sure the backing plates and shoe edges are clean, and apply that sparing bit of brake lubricant... it should solve your problem.
