Having worked for the Bronx Zoo for 20 years, let me impart some knowledge, I don't want to ruin your fun but.........
The importation of live reptile from S.E. Asia is a federal offense, unless you have an import license.
This is only to protect our natural wild life from infection.
Also, if it is an endangered species, the fines you don't want to know about.
Guys, I would call the local animal contol agent and let him handle it.
We used to confiscate stuff live and dead all the time, and the holder usually spent a couple of days wasting his time in court.
Just a suggestion.........
