Hi Terry, I'm in CT. I wouldn't waste too much time welding firewall holes. If the factory punched them out, then leave them. If it was hacked out by someone, then patch it. One thing I've noticed in many pw's are some holes hacked into the hump over the bell housing. Not the transmission cover. I can only guess they're there to gain access to the throttle linkage that runs across the bellhousing. I patched those in mine but will probably regret it. Jeff C. in Bristol has an M37, he'll talk trucks for hours. I have a WM and M37, and I would talk too. Problem is finding time. There's a guy in Marlborough, Mike Burnham, but I haven't heard from him in awhile. And then there's Allen in Tolland. Sometime this spring or summer we'll get together. If not before then, then definitely in August with Joe Cimoch and friends in Webster, MA.
