Pull #1 plug, stick a finger over the hole, crank til finger gets blown out. Now you should be coming up on #1 TDC- pull the distributor cap, see whether it's pointed at #1 or #6. With timing pointer at #1 tdc,rotate the distributor til #1 plug fires, you are now "static timed" and it should fire.
And almost everytime I've ever resurrected an oldy, I've managed to flood it before it started. If you did too, pull all the plugs, come back to it tomorrow.
