Living in Michigan sure does have its advantages at times, despite the nasty weather, too many laws, too high cost of living and too many people... One of those advantages is that I live just over an hour north of the Motor City. Anyhow, in the last few weeks in the late mornings and early afternoons, I have been seeing alot of 3/4 and 1 ton single and dually wheel trucks in regular cab, crew cab, cab and chassis, and extended cab trucks going down M-21 Between Imlay City, and Lapeer Michigan. These trucks are masked with this black vynl covering. It is hard to tell what they are. Most have been pulling gooseneck trailers with a considerable load on them. From what I can hear some are diesel and some are gassers. When I first seen them, I coulda swore they were Ford Super Duties, but seeing Ford is continuing the body style, I had to rule it out, They were not ugly enuff to be a Chevy, so at a closer glance you notice they are the new Dodge 2500 and 3500 HD trucks! These are trucks in the testing and developement stages. They look like a cross between the Ford Stuper duty and the New Dodge Ram 1/2 tons. They look pretty stout as well. Where I live is only 1/2 hour from the Chrysler Tech center in Auburn Hills and I am only an hour north of Dodge City truck plant in Warren as well as alot of other chrysler plants. I been trying to remember to carry a camera with me, so I can get some spy shots of these beasts lately..but so far, I havent. I hope to see more of them on the road soon.

Had a chance to play with the '79 RamChugger today. Man it reallly needs a tune up and new carb...Other than that an the fact it has no brakes, it runs fine. I discovered its already been lifted 2 inches and has 33's on it now. My neighbor has a set of 38's that I am gonna get to put on it. It will clear 38's with some moderate fender trimming.
