Boy Been there done that. I have a 75 W200 318 with 2br carb. It can be fixed but its a long story. Not alot of money just good mechanical Ideas. Here GOES!! First make shure the heat riser in the right exhaust manifold is in good working order. It must be free, close when cold and open when hot.Next, The cross over passage in the intake manifold must be open, this is for the exhaust gases to warm up the manifold on cold start ups. This works with the heat riser. This is right under the carb. After the truck has run for awile it should be good and hot on both sides. The only real way to tell is pull the manifold off and look at the passage. Its in the center and goes right to left. Exhaust gases go through here. Then theres the carb and choke setting. Look at these 2 items first. Let me know. Bill.
