i'vejust finnished making a set of running boards for my wdx.they are only front halfs but what i did can be lengthened to accomodate full length running boards. i'm sure this is nothing new but i'll post just the same.both cost under $75.00 and a day's worth of welding.if you're looking for a cheap fix and a close look alike try this. what i did is take a 42.5" long peice of 2" dia. muffler pipe and rip itdown the middle to get two halves(one for each side). then i purchased 2 pcs. of .187"thick x13.5" wide x42.5"long steel diamond plate. i then welded the muffler pipe halves to the edge of the diamond plate(at a 90 degree angle).then i closed in each end with some heavy gauge sheet metal to resemble the originals.then just drill out the bolt holes for the carriage bolts and square them w/a file to mount them to the brkts. sand blast and paint and you're ready to go! i realise you need some fab. skills and a welder and grinder but hope this helps just the same!good luck, jim.
