i was sent to look at some trucks & parts at a tree service companey.there was a 59 wm sitting there no bed on it and a 10 foot plow on it ,brand new 251 eng. chased the owner for 3 months to sell it to me .finelly 600 dollars bought it. took it down almost down to the frame .had the cab in a welding shop all fixed up. then theeng went in my oshkosh and i had to sell it to get cash to keep my plow truck going. sold it for 600 dollars. the sadest part of this story is i got the worst one. there were 5 or 7 more i was told by my cousin (an employe ) an they were in nice shape that were either given away or sold very cheap .there is still one over in merrimac mass. that has sat for aleast 8-10 years. i went over to see the gentalman that owned the house (not the truck ) he said if i had $10,000 i could haul it out. i had a nice conversation with this man .but didnt have the heart to tell him it was a $1000- $1500 truck. the 59 i bought is in maine the man hasent done a thing with it. but that is his choice. an he wont sell it back to me. well you cant have all of them.
