Not Dodge related, but selling a hood without emblems sort of reminds me of my Jaguar...
When I bought the Jag, the "bonnet" badge was missing. So I bought a reproduction (originals are rather pricey for an XK120). Turned out one of the holes in my hood had been drilled in the wrong place, so the new badge didn't fit right. I made it work...
Then a couple years later I was visiting with the fella from whom I'd bought the car, and he showed me an original badge he had in a box that he was willing to sell. Lo and behold, it had an offset pin to fit the offset hole in my hood. (or was it a hole in my head...I'm not sure) Bastard had stolen it off my car before he sold it too me. I fed him beers until he finally fessed up and gave it to me :-)
