Let me keep it relatively short.

It's not worth buying one that doesn't ake megapixel resolution, that's 1000 x 1000 to you. They used to be expensive at that resolution but they are cheap now.

My tip is take take a few large images at the highest resolution you can and then edit them down on the PC and save them at 300 dpi.

My typical image size is 500k for an image, which comes down to under 50k when re-sized, saved at 50% compression and 300 dpi.

They are peffect for images that will be shown on the net but you do need a decent file size if you are printing a full sized page from them.

Yes, they eat batteries and the chip alwyas fills up when you least expect it, so two sets of nickel metal hydride rechargeables and a spare chip essential.
