i went out to look at a 1948 pw for sale today and i saw something i have never seen before (althought i am new to the pw game). he had split ring rims on it, but get this they bolted on instead of being the C-ring in groove man killing type.
does anyone know where you can get these rims and how much they would cost? i am going to call him back later and ask if he would sell his extra set seperate from the truck. what is a set of rims like this worth?
what does a working used take off PW winch and PTO usually sell for? i am wondering if i should buy the truck because i doubt he will sell the winch off of it, thats about the main thing the truck has going for it. i also would have to store it on a lot somewehre.
the truck runs, winch works, and would drive although the cab is very rough, one door is junk, all tires need replaced, and a leaky wheel cylinder. he is asking $1,200 OBO. lites, blinkers etc dont work. probably best for a parts truck.
does anyone in anchorage alaska need a 1948 parts truck? if so let me know, i may split the price with you.
