I did several trucks with home / shop type sand blasters, but I'll never do another if I can help it. Your compressors wear out quickly, you can't help but breath in some of the dust, and it takes forever with home equipment. For the past 12 or 15 years, I have taken anything to be sand blasted to a professional shop. The money to do so is the best you'll ever spend.
