Some NP-420 cases have different bell housing bolt patterns. The NP-420 from my 1970, WM-300 will also plug right into a 318 hydraulic bell house. I had another NP-420 that had a different bolt pattern. Have no idea what it came off. Long and short input shafts can be changed in 15 minutes with no problems. Check out the helitool web site. Ray has a description and pictures on changing long and short input shafts. Its under tech topics or something like that.
