If you can get those two trucks for under $3000, you're doing OK. Obviously the less you can get them for the better but you'll be hard pressed to find a P/W with original box & tailgate under $3000.
You can try filling the engines with diesel to the top & letting the diesel loosen things up for a couple of weeks, but I'd say you better bank on taking these engines apart. There's a good running 230 on Ebay for around $300.
