The truck you are looking at may, or may not, have the PTO lever on the left. Usually it is used to engage a front mounted winch. So look for the winch or signs that one was there. Take a look at the transmission to see if a PTO or possibly even 2 are mounted on the sides of it. If PTO(s)is (are) present then you know what the handles attached to them are for.

The 2 levers for the 4WD are on the right and when both handles are forward you are in 2WD Hi. No 2WD Lo in this set up. Before playing with the 4WD, make sure the lock out hubs (if installed) are in 4X4 or lock. Pull the aft handle back and you're in 4WD Hi. Pull the foreward handle back and you're in 4WD Lo. You can switch from 2WD to 4WD Hi on the go. Don't try to switch from 4WD Hi to 4WD Lo unless you are stopped.

You should be able to turn the engine by hand if it isn't stuck. If it has been sitting a while and it turns a little, don't force it cause you may have one or more valves stuck. You don't want to break anything that doesn't already need fixing.

Good Luck
Steve
