weird winch ???

I just went and picked up the spare winch and PTO I had stashed at my brothers for 10 years and noticed that the drum clutch is on the other side of the drum, not inbetween the gear box and drum like the one on my truck, this off-sets the drum and I don't think I can use it on the truck, Does anyone know what winch I have ??, are the parts interchangable??? They LOOK identical, THANKS
