Hey Doug!
With all the lobbying I do for the Poly on three web sites ??? Dang Boy!! Ha! Ha!
The 318 Poly was made from the late 50's until 1967. It is the stock motor in W200's from 1961 until 1967 when Dodge switched to the 318 LA in mid year in an attempt to lower production costs. The 318 A (Poly) puts out 260 HP in stock form with a 4 bbl carb. Built it can produce over 400 HP and 450 lb. ft. of torque. It will fit under the hood of a flat fender acording to some here. The 318A can be identified by the "scalloped" lower edge of the valve covers.
