I put the Super Lugs on over the Christmas break. Have only pushed snow at 5" but was very pleased with them. My bald old military treads were slipping and sliding all over the hills. Was even considering lockers but am happy with traction for now. Real test will be 12+" of snow. Got mine thru Vintage PW. 5 for $800 shipped to me in SE Michigan. I've got the tools and installed them myself. Used Rustoleum on sand blasted rims. Did not balance them-never have-seemed to run better then old ND's once they roun out-Nylon tires get a flat spot when they sit. I also use a bead of silicone around the rim groove before installing the split ring and also around the valve stem hole. This keep the water/rust out. Last time I did this was 1980 and the inside of the rim was clean and made it easy to dismount the tire. Specility Tire of America is located in Indiana, Pa. But don't know of a way to approach them directly.
