Because the autos in both the Ford and dodges diesels can't hold up to all that torque I went with the manual six spd in my POWERstroke. My F-800 has a 12 valve (175hp) cummins in it ( also 6spd ) and thats a sweet/strong running machine. The Isuzu engine in the GM is a new and will take some time to get the bugs out ( Never buy first model year!). You can find just as much wrong with a Dodge as you can with a Ford and I believe the GM (diesel) is about $10,000 more then either so I'd go with the the Ford or Dodge with a manual.
