My '67 W200 has those same valve covers! Looks to me like you have the wires routed properly. The wires look like they are likely aftermarket ones and may have too much slack which could account for them not being as neat as you would like. I made my set and used separators along the length, routing them about like the originals were. I think it looks OK. If your nylon clips that hold the wires in the loom on the valve cover is shot you can do like I did. Just find rubber grommets the right size. They fit the loom and the wire perfectly and look really good, If you are not building new wires, you can split the grommet diagonally and slip over the wire and they work fine. Had to do that with mine since I didn't come up with that idea until after I made the wires up.
