If you have a Cenex or CoOp supply nearby, you can get a product called "EZ Flo" which is excellent for the closed knuckle lube. It is thick enough to not leak and transfers similar to grease and flows like a heavy oil. It's about like warm tapioca pudding. I've used it for about 25 years.
