You mean the poly 318 was used until 66 as the new LA-318 was still a 318 cu.in.eng. and if the poly as you say, was 50-75lbs. lighter than the 315, then the LA-318 was lighter than the poly 318 and smaller in overal size making it fit better in small engine compartments. Question is, why would anyone want(for practical purposes)to fool with a obsolete and bulky engine when there is a better product for the application and is a mopar to boot?
