Do not know about the transmission. When I did a tranny swap in my WC 53 I could not put the e brake back on the transmission. Here is what I did:
1) Bought a rebuilt NP200 transfer case with the emergency brake set up from Dave Cirillo in Oregon.
2) Bought from Dave a transfer case mount from the WC 6X6 which had the NP200 transfer case. These mounts have the correct holes for the transfer case and the correct holes to match the frame mounting holes on the WC 53 frame.
3) I lowered the transfer case 2" by adding extensions to the transfer case mounts. This allowed the emergency brake drum to clear the floor of the WC 53 body. The PW floor is cut and a hump is welded in place to clear this emergency brake drum. I could have cut the floor and put in a spare hump that I have but I did not want to alter the body.
4) I built an attachment point that bolts to the side of the transmission so I could mount the twin transfer case shift levers and the emergency brake lever.
5) I had to unbolt and remove the cross frame support that is between the transmission and transfer case to clear the short driveshaft since I lowered the transfer case.

It really works well. The only question that I really have is I wonder if I have a too sharp angle on that jack shaft between the transmission and transfer case. I also replaced the transmission hump and the passenger side floor plate with one from a PW with a NP420. I made 1 very small cut and weld on the hump to allow my SM 420 transmission to fit.
