This is a little more involved, but build yourself a large tumbler. I have one with about a 30" bed. I build cylinders out of 6"or 8" PVC pipe with a screw-in plug on one end. I then save all of the ballbearings and small metal items to use as tumbling medium. I then throw all the rusty parts (or tools in this case) in to the tube with all the buck-shot and then add old fluid out of the parts washer. I then tumble for an hour or two, and "shazam" when they come out, the majority of the rust is removed and the metal is impregnated with the oily fluid out of the parts washer. I love it for cleaning brake cylinders, ect. You have to be carefull, in that the ballbearings and small metal parts will lodge themselves in holes and can sometimes be hard to get out.
