I've pretty much determined that the engine in my 58 W200 is a 315 (Thanks Eric and everyone else who's imput helped narrow it down!). However, it looks like someone has converted it to electronic ignition. My question of the day is (bear with me, I'm a newbie at these Power Wagons) "Is there an aftermarket drop-in electronic ignition that could have been used in the 315?" It has what appears to be an electronic ignition module mounted to the firewall and a rat's nest of wiring that needs to be cleaned up. Were the distributors pretty much interchangable with other PW engines, or is this something someone may have rigged up (and I get to unrig it!).
