OK, after my attempt at this and using the measurements from the interior/exterior dimensions in the "tech specs" section of this forum, I come up with 3 and 5/16" from inside of bed to cab with 6 and 5/16" overhange from the rear of the frame.
These dimensions indicate from centerline of the stamped wheelwell to inside of the tailgate, a dist. of 46 and 10/16". This should leave 49 and 6/16" from the same centerline to the inside front of the bed.
I know that 3 and 5/16" sounds like alot but consider that there is a rolled lip facing the cab. This should close the dist. to about 1 and 5/16" +or-.
