I took mine to an upholsterer before I removed the old cover because he wanted to see how the original was sewn up. I told him that I wanted material that would stand up to a lot of abuse, and still stay pliable in the cold. He had all kinds of samples with the specs on them for weight and climate. I ended up with vinyl thats used on snowmobile seats. Its held up real well, even with all the abuse it gets sittin in the garage.
