Got a clutch and brake pedal repair kit to rebuild my sloppy pedals. Cleaned a painted all the parts and was ready to assemble. Well the brake pedal shaft was about 1/4 inch to long, so I took a hacksaw with a cobalt blade, cut to length, I'm really moving along now. Bolted everthing up, connected all my linkage, and now I'm ready to put in the floor pan. Oh oh, there is not enough space between my dimmer switch and the brake pedal, somethings wrong. I started looking at the brake pedal and it looked brent to the left. I thought no problem, I have another. So I take it off, drove out the shaft, drove out the new bushings, drove new bushings into the new pedal, everything reassembled. Oh oh, I put the pedal on the mount backwards. Drove out the shaft, turned my pedal around, drove in the shaft, locked it and mounted it Wooow! I'm finally there and the floor pan is in. I now have a very tight brake pedal, I think I reshaped the shaft. I'm also now brake shaft alignment certified, having been able to align the booger three time in the mount. A VERY FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE!
