Hi Steve,

I had to measure the deck height of my 251 (being turned into a 265) when I ordered custom pistons for it.

I was careful when taking the measurements, so I think my numbers are accurate. I came up with 12.102". This represents the distance from the centerline of the crankshaft to the top of the block. My block has been decked (deck has been machined to restore flatness and gasket sealing surface), but it's only a few thousandths of an inch, so it should be close to yours.
