I would say that I see the change also, but from what I know about California, we don't have the electrical infrastructure to charge more EVs. Renewables are not consistent enough to rely on. The alternative are coal, natural gas, and nuclear. Coal has such a bad rap that no politician is going to support car. Natural gas is a petroleum product and no one seems to understand that there are differences in the polluting abilities of various petroleum products, so the only viable alternative is nuclear, and for some reason the nuclear plants are being shut down with no replacements. I misspoke the other day. Newsom did say we would have brown outs the day after they passed the no sale of ICE vehicle after 2035 or 2030. He said that people should not charge their electric vehicles when they get home because those are peak hours. As an aside, I don't think any industry should get subsidies. I don't have anything against EVs. I just think it is stupid to think you can pass a law and the increase in electricity supply will just magically appear.
