Jerry, the ONLY new vehicle I have ever purchased was my 98 Ram 1500 w/318. I still have it now, and is my daily driver with 178k miles on it. The 318 now has a Plenum gasket issue, but has also had the auto tranny replaced once. I do lust after a diesel, though..
