Marty, I had this issue with my WC4 and it was a failed condensor and it did get progressively worse. In fact I had it occur on two different occasions in the last 17 years.First time was with an original condenser. I replaced it with a modern replacement which at that point may not have been Chinese or mexican. I can't recall and everything was fine. That probably lasted another 10 years, and then I had the same thing happen. Well at that point the only thing that was available was condensers made in Mexico. This was even going through Napa. Lo and behold I put the first one in, and it was actually worse than the condenser that was already in the truck. It would even run well just at idle. So I put a second one in and it fixed the issue. That's probably been in there five or six years now. But I'm expecting it to crap out at some point so I keep an alone in the truck with me. And I'm hoping it's not a DOA I'm assuming it's going to be okay if I ever need it.
