You know what’s funny about this picture below…notice the bottom 4” of the front bed panel is grey. So the flange on the bottom of the panel was rusted off like they due from wet wood they just disintegrate. So I took the panel off & tig sheered 4” off & tig welded a new piece. So I primed the new metal grey because it’s just what color epoxy primer I had. So my plan was I have a friend that works in the movie industry & he works with a painter that’s the master of patina & I wanted him to make it disappear but we couldn’t link up & I wanted to put the truck back together so I left it grey. So when I loaded the truck up I noticed how crappy it looked even from outside the bed because the rear cab is so curved it’s quite visible. So all of a sudden I thought…hey…I’m in the middle of painting my house & it’s going dark green! I broke out the acrylic & a brush….pretty close actually! :)
