Well I�ve done lots of bed wood installs in my life but this one was the worst. I decided since the bed had never been off this truck & since the wood that was in it was original to the truck�what was left of it�I decided I was changing it without removing the bed from the truck.
Bad idea lol.
So it took all day & you can get every bolt without removing the bed or running boards however there�s 2 bolts you can�t get without removing the gas tank.
I saved most of the original bolts but opted to replace them. A few broke & most were corroded badly where they come in contact with the wood.
So�next time the bed comes off :)
Lots of bleeding knuckles & one finger that got smashed with a hammer so bad it required a field repair with my drill bit to relieve the pressure under my nail�but it�s possible if anyone wants to know :)
