It's a machine that has a claw like cutter. They'll have you warm the tires by driving them 15 miles or so, then they jack up the vehicle to keep them round, then dismount a tire and mount it on the machine that slowly spins the tire while the cutter shaves of excess rubber to true the tire and rim combination. I guess they call them tire truer/shaver now.
