Fully depends what you do to the 265. I mean it’s easy in this day to get double the power out of the 265 than what a stock 230 had so if you’ve increased the compression, put a better cam, dual exhaust & more fuel…I mean I’d put 4.30 gearing in it but if it’s a bone stock 265 the added power will be minimal. A healthy motor will have no problem powering 4.89 gears with 36” tires however.
